- Developed of a database system to analyze 19,000 occurrences of waste dumped at a Superfund site. Data were audited for accuracy, analyzed by waste type, facility/generator, year, and volume, and correlated with data provided from other sources. Extensive sensitivity analyses were conducted. The analyses served as the foundation for the development of an engineering model of waste treatment technologies and costs, which was used in legal proceedings regarding the allocation of cleanup costs. Analytical techniques included database programming, spreadsheet analysis, optical scanning, and conversion among hardware and software platforms. The system was developed using multiple software programs, including dBase, Foxpro, and Quattro Pro.
